Write the job ad that scares off the wrong people
A good ad gets you fewer applicants. That is the point.
Paste this:
Write a job ad for this role. Be specific about the hard parts, the hours, and what would make somebody hate this job. Do not use the words rockstar, ninja, family, or fast-paced. The goal is fewer applicants who are a better fit, not more applicants.
Describe the role in your own words first, including the parts you would rather not admit. Those are the parts that filter.
Describe the job, never a person. Do not mention anyone's age, family situation, health, religion or country of origin — in a job ad that is not just rude, it is unlawful.
