LESSON 08

Send the follow-up you've been putting off

The money is usually sitting in the message you didn't send, not the one you did.

Paste this:

I need to follow up with someone I quoted two weeks ago and never heard back from. Write it short, friendly, and with no pressure. Do not apologize for following up. Give me three versions with different last lines and tell me which one you would send.

Change 'two weeks' and 'quoted' to whatever is true. The three versions matter — pick the one that sounds like you, not the one that sounds best.

You are describing a real customer. Use their first name or none at all — leave out their company, their address and what they owe you.
