Read the spreadsheet you have been avoiding
The answer is already in a file you own. You just never knew how to ask it.
Paste this:
Here are my numbers. Do not give me charts yet. Tell me the three things in here that would surprise me, in plain English, and what you would look at next if this were your business.
“No charts yet” is the whole trick. Ask vaguely and you get a wall of graphs that look impressive and say nothing. And anything this turns up about taxes, payroll or a loan is a conversation with your accountant — a person, not a prompt.
The file is yours. The people in it are not. Delete the name, pay, Social Security number and customer-contact columns before pasting — the pattern you are looking for is still there without them.
